Can only access site through vpn

Hi

With Sky (UK) and have a Sky Q hub.

Trying to access UK government pension site.

I can get to the following totally fine

https://www.gov.uk/find-pension-contact-details

but if I click START on the above page, nothing happens and the server eventually times out.

I’ve tried on Safari, Chrome and Firefox, on my IPad and my windows PC.

However if I turn my VPN on and pick a random server, the page loads instantly. Here’s the link

https://www.findpensioncontacts.service.gov.uk/public-sector

I turn VPN off, link times out, turn it back on, instantly loads.

I’ve reset my Sky hub, still the same, I’ve tried using 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 as my DNS server on my iPad, still the same.

Any suggestions please?

Fixed, turned router off for 30 mins to get a new public ip address, all fine now

Hey, maybe the site has blocked your IP so you cannot access it. When you connect to the VPN, you get a new IP, hence easy access. I would recommend either keep using the VPN, or talk to your internet service provider.
