Finding a Broadcom Distributor in Australia
« on: September 29, 2020, 02:35:57 am »
Hi,

I have designed network switch based on the BCM56070 chip. I have designed the schematic and PCB layout, and I am ready to build it up.

Looking on their website, they say Digi key and Element14 are distributors. However I can't seem to find this part on their website.

Does anyone know where I can get this chip?

Thanks

Brendan

I found 2 versions of the BCM56070 on Mouser and when I switched to Australia they still showed up.

So I think you should be able to get one from them but I don't know which specific version of the chip you are looking for and I didn't find a document on Broadcom's site that showed the difference between these.

How difficult was the switch to design?

I'd like to do the same thing with the BCM5315 series chips but I'm new to electronic design.
