Blackbox with a USB/LAN connection
« on: March 17, 2020, 12:15:23 pm »
If you have a USB/LAN capable device, like say an oscilloscope, what are some programs to have, to see exactly what the device is TXing. And for doing stuff like 'telenetting into a device', name some programs to get for poking around. Wireshark? How do u get inside to see what files are in it ?

IDK to learn a week of programing today, I just want to start poking around, get my interest up, as I learn some more on the programing side. Even just learning some lingo from some playing with some program today would be good.

I think with wireshark recoding, I just spoke to port111 of my Siglent SPD3303X-E, with PuTTy in telnet mode, and didn't get an error for the 1st time, or a bunch of red in wireshark. But now IDK what to do.

HAHAHAHA I did it, before I used the USB to try FW upgrade to 3303X, this time I had wireshark recording and tried the hack procedure over LAN, and it did it.

The PSU now has 3 decimal places

wireshark is all I've used for monitoring. If you want to monitor between other devices, a 10mbps passive hub can be used, or other options mentioned here: https://wiki.wireshark.org/CaptureSetup/Ethernet
nmap is useful for poking to see what ports are open.
