nRF24L01 network for widespreaded sensors
« on: November 27, 2019, 04:43:56 pm »
Is there any sort of network/protocol for nRF24L01 that can forward lost packets to other nodes, in the hope that all packets will finally arrive to their destination?

The goal is to have 10-100 sensors that can report each at most 10-100 Bps cummulated in 2-3 packets a second, preferably a master slave architecture, so the sesnsors won't Tx while not interrogated.

It's easy when all the slave sensors are in the master's range, but some nodes will always be too far away for a direct connection with the master, so the far away nodes will need from their closer neighbors to retransmit the lost packets.

Any ideas how to collect a low throughput of data coming from a widespread mesh of sensor nodes based on nRF24L01?

nRF24L01 isn't  the best choice, look for SX1278 modules
