Not PoE, but I bought Hi-K0801WS with 8 2.5G ports + 10G SFP+ slot for laughable $32 delivered (VAT included) on black Friday (currently costs ~$45 ex VAT). I took it apart before turning on and the thing has better build quality than TP-link and Zyxel stuff I have, not to say it has rock solid thick steel enclosure. Tested power adapter with insulation tester at 2.5kV, good as well. Works fine, has 2 BGA chips with heatsinks inside, I assume they're RTL8373+RTL8224. |

Main board designed by them was more or less decent but internal PSU they used was an utter Chinesium shit made of shit parts. https://www.router.lv/product/501/eng/ I doubt they paid more than $5 for those. They had faulty capacitors both in PSU and main board, which is unforgivable and embarrassing at the price point, especially considering they were made after capacitor plague was long gone. I also had their Chateau 5G modem/router and out of the box internet stopped working like once a day despite strong enough signal and Quectel modem it has inside reporting it was connected. Started working again after rebooting the router or toggle modem on/off (not always helped). Got rid of it together with cellular internet contract it came with. |
