Blog Suggestion

I'd love to see a series about component selection. Eg; why use a FET compared to a standard tranny, or why choose b/w a ceramic cap or a tantalum... Just two examples of many potentials, but a separate blog for each basic component type, then outlining the differences b/w each variation would, I think be of huge benefit for many newbies, and for people like myself who are self-taught; I have strong fault-finding skills, but can't design a circuit to save my life!
