Suggestion for new video
« on: September 21, 2010, 10:40:39 am »
Was sitting here a moment ago cursing a relatively new POS multimeter that the retailer has exchanged twice already, and have decided to just give up on it. Dave - perhaps we could mail you our dud meters... you could then line them up in a row and drive over them, with it being filmed. There could be a Guinness record in there somewhere!

That reminds me of my favorite techno-vengeance video . . .

It just caught me right and had me laughing, I keep it handy to threaten random things with once in a while. :)

fire them out of something like an electromagnetic canon, then again the good old sledge hammer is probably quite novel

I agree with that video, I have a HP DV series laptop and when it comes to support HP sucks !

Good thing is that EBay has cheap spare parts for this machine.

At work we have HP PCs and a service contract with HP. Don't ask. Just don't ask.  >:(  :(

Take it back for the final time an ask for your money back.

Normally I would, and they'd be happy to refund it... but it takes me about two hours round trip. Time is money and all that.

I did not want to open a new topic, so...

Maybe Dave can take advantage of this.

Pretty funny, but what a waste.

My mate had similar issues with his laptop. So brought it back to life by reflowing the solder under the GPU with a heat gun.

I wonder what would happen to a multimeter in one of those induction coils.
One can never have enough oscilloscopes.

A tennis or baseball launcher! Electromagnetic railgun would work too!

Put them into a tree grinder that spits out mulch. Or a rock crusher.
Was it really supposed to do that?
