Getting a database error on posting a reply
« on: December 11, 2023, 02:12:01 am »
I'm getting the following:

when trying to post a response in this topic. Not any response -- posting a message in general work just fine. But when I try to post a specific text, it fails. It also fails in the same manner when I try to edit an existing message and insert that text.

Not sure what's going on there. I made a few attempts between ~01:39 UTC and ~02:05 UTC, Dec 11th. The forum and/or DB logs should contain more information. There's something specific in my message that makes it fail, but I can't readily find out what.

...update: I found it. The forum fails when the post contains greek letter mu, unicode U+03BC. Test: μ

Another test: L_eff_s = 0.207 μH L_s = 0.178 μH

Well it's not the letter itself. I have no idea. It fails when the letter mu (literally as in the row above) is encountered in this specific block of text:

  Effective equivalent circuit
effective series inductance @ design frequency          L_eff_s = 0.207 uH
  Lumped circuit equivalent
    f-independent series inductance; geometrical formula    L_s = 0.178 uH

I have replaced it with "u" to be able to post it. You can replace u with μ and try it yourself :)

Code: [Select]

Effective equivalent circuit
effective series inductance @ design frequency          L_eff_s = 0.207 µH
  Lumped circuit equivalent
    f-independent series inductance; geometrical formula    L_s = 0.178 µH

Works for me.

Or maybe it's only in TT blocks: 50 µH

Nope. Weird.
