A Suggestion: Concerning the List of ‘Recent Posts’
« on: June 22, 2023, 12:39:25 pm »
In my humble opinion, I think to make the list of ‘Recent Posts’ more efficient, when a new post title is added on it, an older post on it which has the same title could be removed.
In this case, it is easier to read the list since it has no duplicate entries, besides the number of different entries increases for the same list’s size.

By the way, when someone opens a listed topic, he will likely also see its last previous posts as well.

There is a list like the one you wish, two lists, in fact.  On the upper left corner of each webpage, in the header area, on the right hand side near your avatar, the two links are called:

"Show unread posts since last visit.
Show new replies to your posts."

If you click the small "New" icon in line with each new topic, it will put you to the last unread post from that topic.  You'll have to be logged in, of course.

Thanks.
But these two lists are for 'unread' and 'new' posts only (relative to me).
So, every time I like to add a post on a topic which is read and has no new posts, I have no choice but to remember where I can find this topic (even if it was started by me) or look on the 'Recent Posts' list and searching a word of its title (on its multi-pages).

But perhaps I am also missing a simpler way to reach such topics (read and have no new posts and on which I posted one message in the least) since they won't be listed by the two links you mentioned.

Regards,
Kerim

There is also a "Notify" button at the bottom of each page, once you open the topic you want to follow/subscribe.  Not very sure how 'Notify' works, I usually read/follow the topics where I've posted something (Show new replies to your posts.)
