I can't "unnotify" from a thread. I get the message "An error has occurred! Session verification failed. Please try logging out and back in again, and then try again."
I sometimes have the same problem when logging off from the forum.
I use Firefox and I tried also in "trouble shoot mode" with all addons disabled, same problem.
Then I tried Chromium, same problem...

I'm seeing that too, here and there, occasionally, for example when I try to add a topic to the ignore topics list, etc. Might help if you logout, close all EEVblog pages, delete all EEVblog cookies, then login again.
Also don't enable 'Dark Reader' for the EEVblog.com domain, in case you have that Firefox extension.

Thanks for trying to help. I setup Firefox to always delete cookies when closing and I don't use the dark theme. :-//

I am seeing this a lot lately when enabling notification on threads. I usually can get it to work if I refresh and retry a few times, but not always. :(

Just doing some testing and I even get the error occasionally when just clicking the link to log out or back in.
I temporarily turned off "Two-step authentication" on my account just in case that made any difference ... it didn't.
Also tested in Chrome in case my Firefox plugins are somehow interfering (no adblock, but some other stuff) and I still get the error.

I have the error almost all the time.
If i click "Show unread posts since last visit." and then select as press "mark selected as read" it bombs out quite a lot. Sometimes it does not. If I press Ctrl-F5 (force reload page) before than it works OK.
It is relatively recent, since those server problems a week or so ago...

This. :-+
I was struggling to login from a new computer using Google Chrome, disabled Dark Reader and logged right in.

Yeah, this needs to be fixed. Two computers in two different networks, five browsers, I simply cannot subscribe to a topic.

same here. subscription only sometimes possible, reply or quotations also only sometimes possible....

I was not seeing this as frequently over the last week, but I just started getting it again this morning.
Refreshing the page and trying again did not help, but I found clicking the link above any post in the thread (even the first post) and then the Notify button worked. The URL gets extra stuff added.
Only minimal tests done so far, but every time is has worked. Maybe some others can see if this is a workaround for them...
Edit: OK, this technique just failed me :(

Same issue here (Firefox) for about a week when logging out.
-
Interesting note is that I don't think I've seen this error when replying, and I have "Turn notification on when you post or reply to a topic" enabled in my profile notification settings.
-
This seems resolved as i haven't seen it again in over a week.
Based on some other comments by server admin gnif in another thread, I think it was related to synchronisation issues of the session data files between the load balanced servers.
-
Neither have I seen it the last days.

Here as well, seems to be resolved :-+
