Where did the drive-time rant go?
« on: May 06, 2012, 12:48:05 pm »
Hi,
Ever since Dave became a full-time video blogger the drive-time rant / stream of consciousness disappeared. Wouldn't it be great to get that back again? I'm sure he has somewhere to drive to ;).
I think he tried to do that with those walks in the park, but those seem to have disappeared, too.

This could also be part of his attempt to add more regularity to the blog. Maybe every Friday or Saturday as some kind of "end-of-the-week review". Something like "Summary Sunday" or "Wining Wednesday"  ;D.

No reason apart from sheer laziness!  :-[

I am liking the idea of regular episodes, so maybe a small regular walk-time rant might be in order.

Dave.

Ranting whilst walking in the Park may attract unwelcome attention from guardians of Law & Order! ;D

Or 13 year old kids calling you weird? Really did like the drive times, not just for the rant but seeing the beauty of Aus, much better than rainy Britain :(

can you keep a coherent rant together after some heavy exercise?
this is starting to seem more and more a psychological experiment...

Dear Dave:

--Walk time rant please, with a helmet mounted cam, and maybe just a few minutes of hand held shots of you wearing the helmet cam and talking.  Or maybe a bike time rant, with steady cam, it would give you a place to put the camera, now that you have no more use for the pram, as of yet.

--I would think the main advantage of the walk/bike time rant would be that you can gin up some good content, without too much preparation, or getting bogged down in equipment, and it is an efficient use of your time.

P.S. Try to get Leo Laporte on the Amp Hour or maybe a simulcast. There is plenty of overlap for you guys to get into. And, I would like to see you get more exposure in the USA, we have a lot of geeks with time on their hands.
