Dave, I think time domain reflectometry and frequency domain reflectometry would be an interesting topic to cover. I'm talking about RiserBond, Tektronix etc TDRs for troubleshooting long and short (high speed buses/cables in modern computers) physical connections.

Basically cover how they work and what the uses are and the corresponding math and medium properties.

what do you think?
