It would appear that the counter display has been inadvertently enabled again, perhaps a result of other recent configuration changes.

You mean the number of thanked posts, displayed on the user's profile summary page? I am pretty sure this has been visible for years.

I rarely look at it, but sometimes I do -- e.g. when I find someone's posts irritating and ask myself "is it just me?". Usually a rather low thanks-per-posts ratio confirms that others did not find too much value in thoses posts... So yes, I find the information useful (occasionally).

Do you mean the footnote that says "The following users thanked this post:"? If so, this always showed for me, except in the mobile version of the site.

No not that.
The total thanks received by each member was visible below our country flag and our total post count.
Seems the feature has been turned OFF again so it's back to normal programming..............

Ooh yes, a pre-calculated thanks-per-post figure (saving the maths) would be good. A sort of figure of merit.
