I'd like to see this speech which I understand was pretty good.

I think your google-Fu became confused by name overloading. Chibi is the Japanese word for little boy if I recall correctly. Other than using similar names chibitronics has nothing to do with chibios ( a very good real time embedded OS). I might be wrong, in which case you can upbraid me here.  :palm:

edit: google translate gives chibi=little

I think in the video he said it meant 'small and cute'.  Considering part of the thrust of the video was to get more girls interested that would have been a strange name if it was what you suggest it is.
