Title: Easy Lithium Box, Build 1 KWh in less than 20 minutes
Post by: BatGroupCraft on January 11, 2022, 09:31:13 pm
Hi, I don't know if this project fits well here: The final release will be open source, although the development release depends on a pressed metal engineer, a contact specialist, a spring physicist, an insulator specialist... Please give me your thoughts for this tech: It's completely sealable, 3D printable every size, tested for massive high current trail-bike scenario's... It's had drop tests and brutal mallet tests for contact continuity, and high current tests. The current does NOT go through the springs, it's 50amp busbars, 10 amp mini contacts, and 125amp big contacts!!! in a secret way, it's the dream design that I want for me :)

It has been previously been covered in this thread... https://www.eevblog.com/forum/crowd-funded-projects/new-easy-lithium-battery-boxing-system-can-build-1kw-of-18650-in-40minutes/ (https://www.eevblog.com/forum/crowd-funded-projects/new-easy-lithium-battery-boxing-system-can-build-1kw-of-18650-in-40minutes/)

...Err, by you.

Yes indeed! the replies were not einstein-level-brilliant... One guy talked about water dripping down my bolts, when they have seals, the other said the springs were conductive, when they aren't, and another guy said my motorbike battery wouldnt handle a 20 minute discharge on a drone, and therefore had very little feasable use for anything whatsoever!... what about houses and camper vans and motorbikes then? it kindof killed the topic!

I am relishing the hope for ingenous commentary that would be revealed on the open source forum? Like! the caps will deform by 2.5 microns per KG when compressed, so don't put more than 5 kg force springs on every battery? Something that will teach me science!!! :D

There was like 5 reply on that topic. It's entirely reasonable that not everyone will like everything you do. If you cannot handle feedback, don't ask for it?

Thanks Tszaboo, i appreciate your view. I only had off topic comments for a different design that didn't relate to the one i posted... No one even mentioned UL94-v0?? Like serious engineering?
