Is there an SD2IEC open source project for the commodore 64 and vic 20 ?
anyone know how i could build one ?

For whatever reason, those SD card adapters for the C64 seem to be a German thing? Most of the relevant links Google found are pointing to German websites or forums.
This guy has a history of about 12 generations of MMC and SD card adapters (in German, but Google Translate should make it digestible):

The most recent homebrew version from user "Shadowolf", which seems to be the basis for the commercial product, is discussed in a looong forum thread here -- again requires translation from German:

The PCB design files (Eagle) for that version are here. But I haven't seen the µC firmware at first glance; I'm sure there are links in the above forum thread.

I'd recommend building a Pi1541 instead. 100% compatible true drive emulation
