Design Group to Learn and Design Single board Computer

Hi,

I want to learn thoroughly the process of Design a Single board computer from scratch, I thought it would be better If I can join/create some group to work on an SBC from scratch. I have a good hardware back-ground, but I want to learn designing much more complex hardware with very fast and advanced interfaces. And this can be a very useful open source project as well.

What experience do you have? Do you have a company? Many SoCs require access to NDA restricted documentation to be able to design boards for them, and you're not getting that as a mere mortal.
