A YouTube channel I recently stumbled across has a lot of good info for beginners, has a whole section on the basics.
The channel seems to be aimed at teaching how to diagnose faults on motherboards and graphics cards, but other good info on there.

Yep that is not a bad beginner repair one, much better than most.
Mr SolderFix is another good beginner soldering channel.
