...I don’t think 1,000 is that popular.
IMHO on focused subject matter, anything >500 should indicate people find enough benefit to subscribe, or perhaps you have a large family ;)
LOL, nope. I don’t even think anyone from my family subscribed, and only a handful of friends.
I didn’t advertise it on Facebook, I barley go on Facebook like the rest of my family.
So maybe I know 10 of them personally, as in met in person.

Yup, but I’ll be nice with my comment and opinion on this one since I’m a transplant, lol.
Grew up in Philadelphia, moved around for a bit when I was 19. Ended up in San Francisco , east bay for 18 years. The housing mortgage thing happened, company was bought out. New company wanted to keep me and did a relocation to Ohio. I think I’ve been in Ohio for 8 or 9 years now? I came say for sure, I’m horrible at tracking time.

ScottJd i know what you mean, I have 50 subscribers on my channel i have never really promoted the channel.
All my content is good accurate information however my monotone voice makes me sound a little boring and dim (im not tho!!) I myself find it hard to explain what i know and also relax like most good you-tubers do. I find i just like to document my projects on youtube for my own use, its just a bonus if i get sub and a thumbs up.

I have checked out you channel and you have some good stuff on there, im sure you will do well if you carry on.
Why dont you show your sub count?

Anyhow if your interested check out my channel, im not after constructive criticism because it is what it is and thats how it will stay: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCClA4ezBnhsdD1bDoQX6wJw/videos?view_as=subscriber

Wow, I didn’t know this list existed. Thanks Cliff Matthews and Brumby for making this list, and Ez24 who seems to be maintaining the forum copy of the list.

Please ... I go on the bottom of any credits list.  ez24 is the custodian of the list.  He keeps the reference copy, makes all the changes and updates the forum posts on an ongoing basis.  Cliff Matthews has been around since the beginning, actively involved with ideas and contributions as well as promoting the list.  I just put together a spreadsheet to make life a lot easier for ez24.  That was a bit of fun for me, consisting of several one-off efforts with long periods of doing nothing.  It is ez24 who has taken on the ongoing responsibility of maintaining the list.  That is a significant responsibility and one which I cannot overstate.  I'm just glad I have been able to help.

I don’t think I would call the voice monotone, maybe I have a different view on monotone having a different accent myself? I like then random useless monkey box.

Their is to much false information videos explaining things wrong, or half fast. So I do prefer to fact check everything before I post a video to be as accurate as possable so people can learn something from it like yours.

Seeing that I'm going to apply to Dave's "lesser known, small channel" videos request, I should probably add myself to the list - TGSoapbox (https://www.youtube.com/user/tgsoapbox) I generally try to do videos on older HPAK equipment because it's great gear and no one seems to care so someone should create a video showing howto use and why it works,

Anyone - Please add me if you can, Subscribers less than 500..

Thanks,

TonyG

Hey guys!
Didn't find these two channels in the list:

ElPaso TubeAmps

https://www.youtube.com/user/essoterric

and

joernone
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC738Lb57Y7mg2m6DV97ukbA

These blokes definitely deserve to be listed! :-+

Cheers!

Hi Phil, welcome to EZ town!   :-+

ElPaso - I'm subscribed but IIRC, I looked at lots of these channels and decided I couldn't flood poor EZ with every CB and tube-amp channel (we had a fixed list size then).

joernone - Similar to above, lots of mixed stuff.. Sure wish they had playlists, since almost all the titles are Mish-Mash and tell little about what's in them (we can add a search parameter if the titles are good...)

Here's one similar: Blue Glow Electronics https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVXv8_dfJjqWluEFktmv12A/videos
or try this: Scorpion Repair Shop: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCrmEK81ly7_kyuIQkG684Cg/videos
Lot's of these guys are are like farmers (out standing in their field..), but I get dilemma's about what to submit..
Anyhow, Thanks keep'em com'in y'all.

No problem! Maybe xraytonyb never got submitted, was because I used to view channels over a 4 Mb/sec DSL, now it's a 30 Meg. Going to any channel I place "/videos" on the end of the URL (regardless of weather the user allows viewing or not..) and scroll down to see all the video thumbnails. If I saw lots of "money-shots" of open chassis' with tubes or more than one transformer, etc.. I would shove this back to back burner.

I'd like to add myself to the list if that's ok

Brian Lough
https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCezJOfu7OtqGzd5xrP3q6WA

I work with Arduinos, mostly with ESP8266. I do projects videos and make videos with info on different libraries

I currently have just less than 1K subs

My biggest claim to fame in my maker career to date is probably that Dave's subscriber counter is using some code I wrote (I wrote the youtube API wrapper library )

I can really recommend Andrew Paul and his YouTube channel.
He is fixing next generation game consoles and other electronics - and does a great job at explaining the repairs, tools, etc.

Is it inappropriate to plug my own channel and ask if you could add my channel ? https://www.youtube.com/user/pa4tim

Started this summer. 22 videos, 52 subscribers. Tutorials, repairs, teardowns/reviews. Most content will be measurement gear related. I try to make some repairs a bit tutorial like and some if it is about exotic stuff. But not yet sure how to do that. For instance the last one (anti mouse beeper) or the one about a toothbrush. Not because it is worth to repair but to show beginners some simple measurements and fault finding.

I also want to make some videos about my hobby; component testing. My best watched video is about testing smps transformers. That really surprised me.

My work (and hobby) is repairing measurement and calibration gear. But also some automotive and industrial electronics. Mostly the older not longer supported (but often expensive) gear without any documentation. So no shortage on subjects. My favorite, the hopeless cases and boards you can not put power on. The only way to repair those is to test all components because that involves playing with all my components testgear like IC testers, all kind of LCR and impedance  bridges, VNA's, curvetracer etc. I also have a lot of voltnut stuff.
