That's really funny.  I work with Ornithologists as an electronic consultant and have been involved with some of these tracking type devices.  We had a bald eagle that we had a fancy GPS/LEO Satellite tag that we tracked for over a year but one day he just stopped.  I've always wondered what happened.  Its fascinating to watch these birds and how they can avoid major weather events, really cool.

When you observe birds as intelligent as corvids, it tends to change how you think of them.
