HP 851B - 8551B Spectrum Analyzer from the 60's
« on: January 21, 2019, 12:43:04 am »

In todays video we take a very quick look at a vintage 2 meter radio from Icom, then at a brand new tantalum capacitor that wants to be a diode.  More to come on those.

The main attraction is this vintage spectrum analyzer from the mid 60's.
The HP 851B display unit and the 8551B RF unit.

A side note regarding this analyzer, The HP-851/8551 was the first calibrated spectrum analyzer sold in the world. At one time there were a lot of these units around.
