PowerElectronicsBlog - PSU teardowns and other electronics
(1/1)

Well, I used to have a written tech-oriented blog, but it just got too time-consuming to keep maintaining it. So I kept putting off publishing new stuff.
I finally decided to give YouTube a try, so here's my first teardown video. It is - like most of my videos will be - a reasonably in-depth PSU teardown. The first video is about a high-quality open frame PSU. Hope you like it!

About 2/3rds of the way through the video, I really like it. :-+
I learned alot from your analysis. :-+
Only suggestion, try to keep the board in front of the camera more (its a bit distracting on the close up shot to see the board go out f frame).

Enjoyed watching and subbed, yeah the lighting will help out a lot. Are they all faulty or just unloved?
Interesting choice of editing cue word towards the end there hehehe.

Yeah, that's one of those things you don't really learn until you do it I guess. Funny thing is, I specifically bought this camera more than a year ago to be able to do this kind of stuff because of the flip-out and rotating screen (so I can look at the viewfinder from odd angles, to make sure everything is in shot and in focus), but then I mess up a couple of times in the video.

The PSUs are functional and will probably all be used one day. I do power supplies for a living (well, less and less power supplies and more other electronics lately, but whatever), so I have a lot just laying around.
