Reset chip printer Brother MFC J6930dw
« on: June 26, 2019, 06:36:32 pm »
Hi Guys,
I have Brother MFC J6930dw witch their cartridges were empty, I put compatible cartridges but the printer cannot detect them, so I would like either downgrade the printer's firmware or reset original chip. Please help me to solve this issue.
thanks in advance.

I think there are 2 ways to overcome this.  Replace the Chip or reset the chip.   Your printer uses LC3317 and LC3319 low and high capacity cartridges.   You should be able to find a "chip resetter" on Aliexpress....do a search and do check google as there may be a couple of "gotcha's" in sucessfully resetting them...The 1st link shows some "gotchas"

I abhor mfgrs especially Brother using cartridge chips.....Grrrrrr

Good luck
I'd forget my Head if it wasn't screwed on!
