It's probably worth mentioning that .SL1 files are actually .ZIP files containing each layer as a .PNG.

If you want to see what's inside, all you need to do is rename the .SL1 to .ZIP and explore away.

If you want to see what's inside, all you need to do is rename the .SL1 to .ZIP and explore away.

Like Zortax they are zip, but the main objective of this software is convertion to another format. So you can use prusa slicer and export the file to your printer without the need of reslice in the target slicer. It allow modify parameters without the reslice. While you can do that manualy it's easy to mess or miss something inside the zip. While that is true for zip, you can't do the same by hand on binary formats (.photo, .cbt, .cbddlp)
