Yes, though the 48 is possibly closer in style to the 80 than the 85 !
The 48 display does have a reputation for dying due to separation of the connection. Some examples can be fixed with pressure on the case. I have an HP 50g (an evolution of the HP48) that has a similar problem, but the HP50 case is much easier to take apart than the heat-staked HP48.
Simon, there are many others in the series though some of the later models were disappointing to the very large enthusiast base. As far as HP is concerned, the HP Prime is the current model but many people still prefer earlier models. Collecting any of them is a slippery slope
