Yep. Anyway... these days, kiddies are convinced there is no life outside of being constantly tied to servers on the Internet, so not surprising the old daemons are creeping back...

Good (for some?) thing is that they are excellent clients for Google, MS and Amazon.

Oldies remember the collective sigh of relief when people could control their own data and computers, and weren't reliant on "the cloud". Of course "the cloud" had a different name: "timesharing bureaux".

While history doesn't repeat, it does rhyme :)
