Hi!
Just a quickie one!
Does anyone have, or a link to, a practical design for a 1.2/50 us impulse generator that can be built, with a parts list and transformer details, rather than all the theoretical "spice" type waveform circuits with the technical derivations?
I'm looking for something relatively easy to build with a simple status indicator on an LCD or warning lights!
The project is for testing meter circuits for internal flashover after repairs – can these be bought second–hand or basket–cases for repair?

PS!
Can a PAT tester with a "H.T. flash" high–potential flash–test function be used to do this?
(I bought a "spares or repair' Seward unit as a price I could afford with a smashed LCD I've not investigated yet!)
