1200 baud data transfer over audio passband of cellphone. Is that possible?

No, read the last paragraph at the page. The tone seems ok to my ear (not distorted) compared to the original, but hey not tested yet. To do this I will have to built the actual modems. But first I want to see if it is valid in other countries. Can you do this simple test for me?

You can get software that will act as a modem to decode those files. In fact, that's how these work: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Softmodem

I remember I have seen a girl presenting it but I did not find it very useful as sms costs 30 cents per sms where I live and these are short bursts of data.

Yes I've already used the MixW in packet mode. In fact this is how I generated the audio files. The problem is that I need to build another audio cable to connect the other set of PC/mobile, which I haven't done yet, but eventually I will do.
