Rom File Format
« on: May 23, 2016, 09:59:47 am »
I prefer there SREC format as it's what I'm most familiar with and it's supported at least by my device programmer. Appreciate if someone with one of the generic universal programmers confirm if these also support this format or comment on the format preferred by these.

perhaps zip a sample file?, If you can change it to .bin or .hex and it still veiws the same in a normal editor then its fine, if it appends its own crap, that can make things harder when sharing stuff,

I have a TL866 "MiniPro", which I suppose qualifies as a generic universal programmer. It supports .bin (raw binary) or .hex (intel hex). It does not support motorola S-record.

Thank you, that's exactly what I needed to know.
