Mystery 1985 vintage "HBATD1" and "3550 TD1" evaluation boards

Presented just for interest, there's two variations on the sales counter at Weird Stuff in California.

Datecode is barely visible in pen on the PCB "7/13/1985". Logo is AMD.

What are the non bnc connectors? They look like large smb connectors.

Might be an eval/test board for the AMD Am3550 ECL/TTL mask-programmable gate array.

The first one looks like it was made for testing an old AMD K-6 processor.
Looks like they tried to keep the traces to the socket the same lenght.

Plausible, the date on the board matches as a pre-production development.
