Electronic metal hardware identification.
« on: October 25, 2016, 12:30:34 am »
Hey all.
A buddy of mine recently hooked me up with a ton of old electronic components, hardware, parts, etc. As I was sorting I came across 2 types of items that my friend or I couldn't identify. I've added 2 pics below so if anybody knows what these are, I would appreciate the enlightenment.
Thanks in advance!

1) feedthrough capacitors
2) pins for connectors, these are riveted to some sort of strip, I don't know what they're called, but I've seen these used as binding posts in old TVs

Wow. I would have never guessed feed-through capacitors for first pic. I was thinking some sort of jack.
The pins in the second pic look like reeds for a Wurlitzer Electronic Piano that have been bent 90 degrees. I have a lot of these. I'll find a use for em.
Thanks Alex!
