Hello all,
I have an old transistor that needs replacing. I think that it's obsolete, it came out of a Heathkit clock kit. Need a replacement, having a hard time finding the datasheet? I dont know manufacture, it's a 417 259. Any help appreciated.. thks.

That is a Heathkit part number, a 100V PNP TO-92 transistor, and it crosses to an MPSL51, which is mostly obsolete. NTE and Central Semiconductor still show it, so you may find it somewhere either as a current offering or as NOS from Amazon or eBay.

Thanks, did not realize that. da.. I did not know HK put there own part numbers on there stuff.. thks.. :palm:

If its the TO-92 417-295 (not -259) you’re looking for, I have a few original old stock Heathkit parts. Send me a pm if you want one.
GC-1005 or -1092?
