4in Flat Vector CRT
« on: August 27, 2021, 06:39:09 am »
Probably not a new idea; but I recently watch Adrian's CRT video:

And immediately thought I'd buy one or two and try my hand at Converting it to a Vector CRT for a micro Asteroids game.
Of course; I somewhat certain I'd have to rewind the yoke to get vector deflection; but I've never done it so.... clueless.

Probably nothing more than a silly hobby phantasy; but curious what other "experts" might have as far as ideas go.

I stopped short of actually ordering any of these from Alibaba... because the shipping costs were high enough that I'd be disappointed if it arrived broken.

I don't know how common they are where you live but here we have the same style of crt in video doorbell panels.
They aren't cheap but neither something hard to come by.
