Electronic Shelf Labels RF Protocol anyone?

Hey,

I've got my hands on some old ePaper Electronic Shelf Labels by extinct company ZBD [1].
The FCC kindly has some documents [2], yet they are incomplete and barely legible.


I'm looking for a use for all those eInk displays.
Can anyone help with the RF protocol, or does anyone have any further information on the labels?
