9v x2 powered JFET audio splitters

(1/1)

systemic_fault:
I've been thinking of feeding two volumes from single guitar pickups using JFET's, but I'm not sure if I need to worry about whether the power source, which will be two 9v batteries, would be a clean enough signal, and whether I need to worry about noise in the power supply.  This will be used on a bass guitar, so I wouldn't want any added noise added to the audio signal from the power supply through the JFET's.

One concern that was raised when talking to someone about it is that there could be some weird audio effects when both volumes are nearly the same, like problems with similar harmonics and cancellation.  Each volume per pickup would also be sent to one of two EQ's.

Some sort of schematic/drawing would help.

Batteries are generally considered to be the cleanest power supplies available, but it depends on what else is connected to the battery.
