AC Chopper circuit

Designing a AC (50 hz)chopper circuit
What would be a decent PWM Frequency
What thyristor should i use for switching....SCR or IGBT or TRIAC??
pls help

You've just done the equivalent of asking people to recommend a good car and asked if petrol or diesel, a 2 seater convertible or a 50 seater coach would be best.

Perhaps if you could clarify your requirements it would enable people to provide a slightly more focused answer, unless you want to be told that a road train will carry enough load and a 1.2 petrol engine will give the best economy.
