How much does LTZ 1000 weight?
« on: March 05, 2018, 10:51:36 pm »
Do you have LTZ 1000 voltage reference that isnt soldered to something? Do you have decently accurate weight scale? If both of your answers are yes, then please, weight it and post your results in this thread!

He's probably trying to determine that the one he has is a genuine one or not ... ;)

I am just curious.Problem I have with electronic components that often the datasheet contains everything imaginable except weight,I want to have total knowledge about LTZ1000 and I failed find any official weight.

Furthermore,I noticed weight of electronic components is often inaccurate, something that is 47g in one place,is 45 in another for example,so its hard to believe either of these numbers.if someone weighted it,thats information I would trust.

Send me an LTZ 1000 and I can give you the mass accurate down to 1mg.

if specification says 45g ±5g which one would you trust?

There is big difference between weight specification of object that is manufactured in way that weight is highly consistent so the specification gives only one definitive number that would in 99.999% of weight measurement come exactly as specified and objects or items that have large random differences from item to item becose they are fundamentaly physicaly inconsistent so the weight is given in average value + plus minus random variation, semiconductor devices are not bananas ( atleast when it comes to mass ).

Right. While you are weighing - could you please lick it as well? I would like to know it's taste.

 LTZ1000CH .98g

[EDIT] Claimed accuracy is +/- .02g but neither of my two scales have been calibrated. FWIW they both gave exactly the same reading.
