ADP1850 master slave configuration
« on: August 12, 2020, 11:05:54 am »
I am trying to workout the values of modulator Gain and effective fsw on page 22 of the ADP1850(https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/data-sheets/ADP1850.pdf). I know its something to do with the calculations mentioned on page 21 which i have but completed but not sure what they are referenced to in page 22.

To pair as master and slave these values needs to be doubled but not sure if each would need to be doubled which i think is.

So far i have
Gm = 500uS
Rcomp = 40mOhm
Ccomp = 857uf
Cc2 = 50uf Randomly picked something between 42uf and 85uf (based on calculations of Rcomp and Ccomp) since that was what was mentioned in the datasheet.

Hi,

I have not checked the calculation but these numbers that you have:

Rcomp = 40mOhm
Ccomp = 857uf
Cc2 = 50uf

Are off by 10E6

Rcomp = 40k \$\Omega\$
Ccomp = 820pF
and Cc2 = 50pF

are more typical values.

I suggest you try and calculate the values for the demo board application. You should get pretty close.
