Alternatives to pin Headers
(1/1)
ali_asadzadeh:
Hi,
The Jelly Bean and cheapest connectors for connecting various PCB boards for normal stuff(Not high speed) is pin headers, the Starlight and right angle ones. the main problem with them is their stacking height which is big for my new product. I'm designing a new series of products, they are low profile products, so I need some replacement for these pin headers, I want to connect Different PCB boards together, the connections vary from 8-10 pin to 60-80 connections, I need right angle and straight versions, so do you recommend any better alternative with similar prices to pin headers? the preferred max height is under 5 or 6mm. I prefer chinese manufactures that can be sourced from LCSC too. but I would not restrict myself to only them.

You might find something on this site: https://sullinscorp.com/products/?filters=category:312&toggle=in

They seem to be very low profile for the in-line connectors.

If pin pitch is not a big problem, you could always try 1.27mm pin headers. They're smaller, about 4.5mm height for female ones, and male ones about 1mm (only this black part).
