I can use a parametric search, i can use google, i can change up the search phrases. All came up empty.

You know finger wheel the mechanism that is in a cheap mouse?
Illuminated and textured wheel, with a clickable button, 24 detent/steps, simple grey code output.

Is there nothing like this you can buy as an actual assembly?
something i can mount straight to the PCB or Front panel.

All i can find is stuff that costs 50 bucks a piece, but i want a lot of them.
About 16 to 32 on a PCB, so cost is an issue.

I can build something like this myself, i got all the tools, knowledge and software.
But seriously, you can not buy a simple part like this for cheap?

My best bet is to just mount a wheel on two PCB small profile rotary encoder with a through hole axle and live without a button.

Edit, there ones: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32842510317.html

I really do not want to make 3D printed parts for this.

These come in completely assembled mice for 2 bucks with shipping.

There are also jog switches like that https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32703711386.html
Mr. Scram:
Is it me or does Aliexpress require signing on to even just see products nowadays?

Yes, they started doing that a few months ago.  Since then, I didn't order from AliExpress any more.

"Scroll wheel" comes to mind. Agilent, now Broadcom had them.
