Title: AMLA150 Loop Antenna help identify
Post by: daniel444 on October 01, 2024, 05:37:53 am
i bought this AMLA150 Active Magnetic Loop Antenna kit
i need help to identify the ic chip it uses as they have sanded the label off
i want to buy a replacement chip
the bottom of the chip has 592 written on it
it might use the same  chip as the  MLA-30 antenna

thanks
Daniel

That sure sounds like NE592.
The pinout also seems to match.
Here's a datasheet https://www.onsemi.com/pdf/datasheet/ne592-d.pdf (https://www.onsemi.com/pdf/datasheet/ne592-d.pdf)

Most likely to be an Si5351A.
What on earth would a synthesizer do in a receiving antenna amplifier board?

An equivalent to the NE592 is the National Semi LM733 if available.

Pretty much all of these cheap loop antenna kits use the NE592 or equivalent.
