Hey All,
I have a nice XGS1210-12 switch
https://svanheule.net/switches/zyxel_xgs1210_series, and pretty much understand most bits.
What puzzles me however, is one chip. The CPU seems to have control wires going into it, but I have no idea what it does or how it works. The chip in question has on its topside 'AWB 1LA 11', but google hasn't been very helpful.

Looking the surrounding area, we see no inductors, so it's not a DC-DC regulator?

The unused pad is also curious, as it clearly works in tandem, but not needed. I haven't seen a device that does populate the missing chip, but it goes to the CPU's SPI pins (or 3 gpio ...). My guess is a micro controller ...
A few more pics can be found at the earlier linked site..
Anybody know what it is so I can look into the datasheet?
There are no possible fan headers (the XGS1250, while similar, is slightly different and does have a fan controller, but not this chip and it's companion that I can see).
Thanks,
