Attatch 20x4 display without screws
« on: December 05, 2019, 02:23:09 pm »
Hi, what would be the best way to have a 20x4 display on a front plate without screws ( not soldered on circuit )?
A system for easy attatch, and not moving in panel.
A idea would be nice i can try to print if it works.
Printing with PLA and can not be to thin.
thanks

Is it to be mounted on the face side or the rear side of the front panel?

I dont wanto use glue.
I could make it fit so tight that it wont fall, i used that before.
Now i like to make some clickable or hangable system ( gravity based )

Is there a problem using Velcro?

Lots of adhesives out there are removable if you need to. I'd probably use silicone caulk, it's strong enough to hold the display firmly but easy enough to cut if you want to get it apart. You want to let it cure in open air before you close the box though as the vapors are slightly corrosive.
