Axial Moulded Carbon Resistors?
(1/1)
Chris56000:
Hi!

Just for completeness of component-lists, can anyone identify who made these little square or rectangular moulded carbon composition resistors with radial-leads, colour-coded with fine horizontal stripes on top please?

I've a vague idea they might have been Philips!

A lot of the old industrial boards I come across in the course of my employment use them, but I've never seen any new ones!

Wow, that's a bit different! I know Vishay make radial resistors in similar packages, but they seem to be numerically valued, rather than with colour bands.

Think they were a late 60s / early 70s product. Definitely European as I saw them in some old audio kit from then. I can't find them in my Philips / Mullard data books from around then. May be another manufacturer.

Hi!

The example shown is colour–coded as 100kΩ  ±5%  top–to–bottom, and I've seen them in imported 1960s/1970s gear myself, but I've never seen a Service Manual yet that identifies the series!

Looks a lot like these:
