Last night and this morning I searched for connectors. The project is for my recently repaired frequency counter. I plan to bring the signals to the back panel so I can connect an external display should the front panel VFD fail in the future. I plan to use a female receptacle on the rear where three unused BNC holes already exist. The external display will have a cable with a male end to connect.
The total signal lines are five pins, so I need a five-pin connector (more if they come in the same size for any possible future needs), about 0.515" (the size of a BNC hole - but I plan to file the hole larger a bit to accommodate the slightly larger ones I'm finding), locking (Bayonet or threaded), and solder cups.
The one I found that looks great is: ABD-05PMFS-LC7001
Now I'm looking for the male version so I can build a cable, however, Digikey doesn't list any mating versions and the Amphenol website lists the mating types, but Digikey (and/or Mouser) have an eight-week lead time.
I want to avoid buying a non Amphenol and risk them not mating. Does anyone know a better connector that lists the mating pairs?
