| Battery pogo connector temperature rating |
| (1/1) |
| hcglitte:
Hi, I'm going to use a pogo connector, originally intended as a battery connector, for connectivity between 2 boards. The specs state it works down to -20 C. In my design it must work down to -40 C. I'm curious if the specs only says -20 C because batteries normally only operate down to this temperature. And that they don't care to test it below this level because its expensive to test, and not needed. It's a rather simple part consisting of plastic and metal. I guess the plastic could crack at low temperatures perhaps? Any experience here, anyone? |

Maybe the pogo springs stop flexing at -21c ? |

It's Bc‐11‐4pd in attached file. So it's spring contacts. Not sure about the flex properties. But a freeze spray may find this out. |
