Beamer Hushbox - Fan control
(1/1)
Rebius:
Hi. I'm building a hushbox for my beamer and want to control my fans without any extra switches or knobs.

My idea was to switch on the beamer and this would also switch on the fans, as they are decently quiet. I found a master-slave switch, but only one, and that one is switching on at about 40mA, but the beamer is taking 55mA in stand-by. I couldn't find any other switch with higher trip-point, or some adjustable one. And building my own master-slave switch is a project on its own. So my question(s):

1) is there some master-slave switch for stand-by devices?
2) is there some other plan (with parts list) that wouldn't take too long to build?
3) is there another way to do this (f.ex. current sensors, thermostat, etc...)

Thanks for all feedback
