| Bluetooth LE for Secure Remote Control |
| (1/1) |
| GJS123:
Hi All, I would like to make a replacement secure RF "key fob" type remote control for an exisiting intruder alarm system. This needs a few functions e.g. arm, disarm, part arm, open garage door etc. Interfacing to the exisiting alarm is no problem. I had an idea to use two Bluetooth LE equipped MCUs e.g. ESP32. I am thingking that once the pairing has taken place, the encrypted data flow between the two MCUs should be pretty secure. I believe that the two devices can be "bonded" which means that no "in the clear" communication takes place as the pairing information is a one time thing only. Does this sound feasible? Or are there securty flaws in my cunning plan? Thanks for any advice. |
