Electronic Enclosures with 1602 LCD Cutout
« on: October 14, 2023, 09:50:29 pm »
There are so many small projects on my list but it seems no one makes any nice enclosures with a front panel precut for a standard 1602 or 2004 LCD.  I hate the hole drilling then nibbling and with nice solid aluminum front panels, the cutout always looks crappy.  I have used Front Panel Express for some of my higher end project but does anyone know of any supplier for nice metal enclosures precut for front LCDs?

Cutting rectangular holes is always a challenge.
Why not just use a bezel for your displays? No one will see your cutout then.

Last time I've searched, the selection was limited to this https://www.aliexpress.us/item/2251832529131136.html

For one-off projects custom 3D printed enclosures are a way to go.

Why not just a pcb front panel for any of many aluminum extrusion options?
