Boost converter capable of 50w 3.2v to 12v?

Hello, I'm struggling to find a suitable boost converter capable of about 50w from single cell li-ion to 12-15v output. Does anybody know of anything I could use or do I have to parallell up several IC's.

You are almost certainly going to need an external switch controller IC, rather than an integrated switch regulator IC; peak current is going to be >20A, after all.

Thanks for the tip! Might have found the chip I'm looking for, (LM5155).
I'm aiming for 1-3 IMR18650 cells in parallel, so >20A will be no sweat. I will admit, I was hoping for an integrated switch solution. But this one supports single N-Channel mosfet, this might bee good!

You're welcome, and here's a bonus: plug your input voltage, output voltage/current and switching frequency parameters into the calculator on this site:

And it will calculate the necessary boost inductor value, plot some waveforms and even generate a table of potential magnetic components ("coil data") with core size, number of turns, and the gap (confusingly referred to in the "ident" column in mm), etc., specified. I've spot checked the output from this site numerous times against my own calculations and it gives reasonable results (which I can't say for most online magnetics calculators). Even if you don't wind your own boost inductor you can use the coil data it outputs to help ensure a commercially available inductor will work (though I suspect you are going to have to wind your own here).
